Suhasini Ganpatrao Satam passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Born on October 14, 1946, in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India, Suhasini was the daughter of Indirabai and Jagnnathrao Salvi. She earned a master’s degree in Marathi and was a dedicated teacher of Marathi at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College in Navi Mumbai, where she took great pride in her work and inspired countless students with her passion for teaching, her way with languages, and her storytelling skills.

Suhasini was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a beloved Aji to her grandchildren. She had a beautiful singing voice and often filled gatherings with music. An excellent cook and gracious host, she treasured every family get-together, always mindful of the small moments that brought loved ones together. Above all, she found her greatest joy in seeing her children and grandchildren happy, and she never missed a chance to celebrate their milestones or comfort them in their trials. Known for her kindness, strength, and sharp mind, she faced hardship with a warm smile and an open heart.

She is survived by her daughters, Sawali and Shalaka; her son Sagar; and her many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ganpatrao Satam (1987); her daughter, Shilpa Chawan; and her son-in-law, Sameer Chawan.

Arrangements are under the direction of India Funeral Service, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ. Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 NJ-27,
